Re-Start

It’s been quite a while since I have shared anything here.  Lots going on in my life.  I’ve been writing intermittently and mostly posting to Facebook.  Soon I’ll catch up here and, I think, start blogging more regularly.

I’ve started back to my novel.  I need to write.  It’s been good getting back to it.  Actually, I’ve done a re-start on several levels.

I re-married on June 11, 2015, to a wonderful woman who is AMAZING!  We share everything and she is such a wonderful support for me.  Essentially, we support one another.

We’re both retired from full-time work, but we are still active in so many things.  She is a consultant and does contract work.  This fall she is doing some adjunct teaching at a local community college.  I’ve decided to do some substitute teaching at my last high school.  It’s good to see old friends, make new ones, and talk with high school kids again.

We spend as much time as we can with our ten (10!) grandkids (ranging in age from 3 to 24).  We’re at our gym almost every day for at least an hour.  We’re at our condo at Keystone, Colorado, about once a month (I skied 30 days last season!).  We’ve started some Great Courses classes–The Aging Brain, Beginning Drawing, and Beginning Guitar.  We have both played guitar and she’s been a piano teacher since she was quite young.  We love music.  In other words, retirement keeps us busy!

All of this has led us “back” to writing. So, if everything works out, you’ll be hearing from me.

In the meantime, Peace, and Write ON!  –Dan
